DIY Lavender Milk Bath Pouch Favors

Not all favors are created equally.  I prefer one that can be used and I'm not too fond of your initials.  This favor is my idea of heaven!  Luxurious whole milk and lavender essential oils combine to make me one happy girl!!! Perfect for your shower.  Enjoy!









DIY Lavender Milk Bath Pouch Favors

Available at your local craft store:
3x4 inch organza drawstring pouches (these can be made in custom colors by Etsy.com shops)
Sealing plastic bags no wider than 4 inches
Lavender essential oil
Writing marker
Colored ink
Tags

Available at your local grocery store:
Epsom salt
Whole dried milk powder
Cornstarch
Tablespoon
Mixing spoon
Mixing bowl
Measuring cup


Recipe:
1 ½ Cup Powdered Milk
1 Cup Epsom Salts
½ Cup Cornstarch
24-30 Drops Lavender Essential Oil

This will make 10 (with a touch extra) 4 tablespoon sized portions.  This is the exact portion size for a 3x4 inch organza bag.


-Pour 1 Cup of Epsom salts into a plastic bag.  Add 24-30 drops of lavender essential oil.  Seal bag.  Mix in bag until the oil is evenly distributed into the salt.

-In your large mixing bowl combine your measured milk powder, salts and cornstarch.  Mix well.

-Measure 4 Tablespoons of your milk bath mixture into the plastic bags.  Make sure no air is left in the bags.  Set aside.

-Using your choice of colored ink rub the edges of your tags with the ink.  Allow to dry approx 5-10 minutes.

-Write your message of choice on the tags.

-Stuff organza bags with milk bath pouches and pull the drawstrings tight.

-Feed one of the drawstrings through the hole in the tag.

-Tie the drawstrings into a knot or bow.
